“I went to the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles, California where I had a strong focus on fashion and beauty. My sense of style and art is what got me into photography, but I didn’t start shooting landscapes until two years ago. I’ve always loved to travel on my own and going on holiday to places I’d see in a magazine. I told myself it’d be such a waste if I didn’t take photos of those destinations so I started to teach myself. I live in Indonesia, a very tropical climate, so if I’m going overseas for a holiday, I like nice, cool weather—which is probably why Norway and Iceland are on my bucket list. I love to photograph different places in Europe such as Santorini, Greece and Cinque Terre, Italy. In December 2012, when I got an iPhone, my daughter signed me up for @instagram. It seemed like the perfect platform since photography was already a hobby for me. I love to share the same interests and be connected to so many people on @instagram—it gives me the opportunity to inspire an audience, which gives me great happiness.”
